"I'm pregnant"

I love this phrase. It seems to get you out of, otherwise, awkward situations. A woman can do about anything as long as it is followed up with these simple words. Situations that would usually cause disappointment, awe, disbelief can result in sympathy understanding and even sweetness. For example:

I ate an entire package of donuts for breakfast, and I am not talking donut holes, we're talking full size dough nuts... I'm pregant. At first you think what a cow and then the heart softens after the realization of a woman that is carrying two, and oohh it's ok those extra calories are needed, and it acutally becomes pretty cute.

Here are some more situation that handy phrase has gotten me out of the last 4 months.

I picked up a friend to go to take to the library. I pulled in my driveway at the end of the errand and couldn't figure out why he was still in my car. I had bypassed the library all together and just brought him home with me...I'm pregnant.

I took a 3 hour nap to wake up eat a snickers (which happened to be out of a box of 48 full size bars)and then go to bed for the night...I'm pregnant.

I ate a 10lb. lasagna...I'm pregnant.

I screamed profanities at my husband along with double birdies...oh so pregnant.

I poured ranch dressing into a bowl and ate it like soup...pregnant.

I turned the oven on to listen to music and it took me a minute to figure out why I couldn't hear anything. The oven is not the radio...I'm pregnant.

I am feeling completely complete. I have been pregnant now for 15 weeks. The satisfaction of accomplishing a goal is profound. To be able to move from wanting your family here to having all of them here (even if in utero)to raise has been a satisfying transition for me. I love pregnancy and I love giving birth; I also love I will have been blessed to do it 3 times in my life. so to you Hancock baby number 3...life is about to get really good!
